Family First Japan is a Japanese nonprofit organization committed to strengthening marriages, equipping parents, and encouraging families across Japan.
We believe that the family is one of God’s precious gifts to our lives. We can bring the Kingdom of God to the world by nurturing strong marriages, uplifting fathers and mothers, and ensuring children thrive in homes filled with love, trust, and responsibility.
Guided by Christian values, Family First Japan serves families in Japan through practical relationship programs, fatherhood communities, and family seminars. Our desire is to see families experience deeper love, stronger parent-child relationships, and hope that can be passed on to the next generation.

We believe that marriage and family are an integral part of God’s good design, and that healthy family relationships can bring lasting hope to individuals, communities, churches, and future generations.
In a society where many couples and parents face isolation, pressure, and relational challenges, we seek to come alongside families with practical support, encouragement, and biblical values.
Our prayer is for families in Japan to grow in love, trust, faithfulness, responsibility, and mutual care.
Our Mission
We help individuals and families grow in their God-given roles as husbands, wives, fathers, and mothers.
Through practical programs, guided conversations, seminars, and supportive communities, we help people take concrete steps toward healthier marriages, stronger parenting, and more resilient family life.
We do this not simply to solve family problems, but to help families become places where love is practiced, children are nurtured, and relationships are restored.
What We Do
Couples Assessment and Relationship Support
Strong marriages do not happen by accident. They grow through honest communication, mutual understanding, and intentional care.
Family First Japan’s Couples Assessment program helps dating, engaged, and married couples better understand each other. Through an assessment and guided feedback with trained facilitators, couples can identify their strengths, recognize areas for growth, and discuss important topics such as communication, conflict resolution, family background, values, stress, finances, and expectations.
For pre-marital couples, the program provides a meaningful opportunity to prepare for marriage with honesty and clarity. For married couples, it helps them reflect on their relationship and take practical steps toward deeper connection, trust, and commitment.
Fathers’ Network
Fathers have a profound influence on the spiritual, emotional, and relational health of their families. Yet many fathers in Japan carry the responsibilities of work and family life with very few opportunities for honest encouragement and support.
Family First Japan’s Fathers’ Network creates local and online communities where fathers can gather regularly, learn together, share their experiences, encourage one another, and grow as fathers and husbands.
Through this network, fathers are reminded that they do not have to walk alone. They can learn from one another, support one another, and grow in their calling to love, lead, protect, and serve their families.
Family Seminars
Family First Japan provides family seminars to help couples, parents, churches, schools, organizations, and local communities learn practical tools for healthier family relationships.
Our seminars address real-life family issues such as marriage, parenting, fatherhood, communication, and building stronger relationships at home. These seminars are designed to be accessible, practical, and encouraging for families in Japan.
Our desire is not only to provide information, but to help families take practical steps toward lasting growth in everyday life.
International Membership
Japan is a nation where many families are under deep pressure. Couples often struggle silently. Parents may feel isolated. Fathers may lack encouragement and community. Churches and local communities often need practical resources to support marriages and families well.
Family First Japan seeks to respond to these needs by strengthening marriages, equipping fathers and mothers, and supporting families with practical, relationship-centered programs rooted in Christian values.
